Camping with Horses

We are a horse friendly campground with stock site, highline and camping stock trailer parking. Minarets has a very large campsite at the rear of the private campground with easy access in and out. Stock users can highline their stock, use the meadow creek for water or we can supply water from our water source. Please bring your own water buckets and feed. Hay for stock can be bought from us at our cost. This site is perfect for 2 living quarters/stock trailers (4 horse).
The site is $75.00 per night. Please clean out under the highline before you leave.
If you bring your dogs, please keep them in your stock site. There is a pet fee for dogs. $45.00 per dog per night.
There are many places to ride to in the Sierra National Forest or into the Ansel Adam's Wilderness. Pack your lunch and head out for a day trip or spend a half day riding, head back to your camp to relax, then head out for an afternoon ride. For a flatter ride, head down 5S88 for on a Forest Service dirt road that takes you along a grassy creek with good fishing. For a mountain ride, you can choose from the Isberg Trail or the Fernandez Trail. The direction you take depends on the mountain conditioning of your horse. A ride up to Cora Lake on the Isberg trail is an all day ride. If you leave at 8 or 9:am, you can take an hour lunch and be back around 4:30 or 5:pm. After a long day riding, we have a camp shower at your disposal. All guests are by reservation only. If you need help finding your way on a trail ride destination, let us know and we can help you plan your trips. Please contact us for a booking.
