Most commonly asked question- How Do I Get to the Pack Station? Here's your map.

 

Coming from the North, take Hwy 99 to Hwy 145 East,  Then take Hwy 41 North to Yosemite,  Exit to Rd. 200 to North Fork/O'Neals turn off.  Go through North Fork, then follow the double yellow lines for 52 miles. Note more detailed information in next paragraph.

 

 

Take Hwy 41 out of Fresno or Madera. Head North. At the end of the second passing lane there will be a stop light and an EXIT sign that says North Fork and O'Neal's. You can only exit to the right onto 200. Go all the way to North Fork. Stop at the Valero or Chevron station for fuel, snacks, drinks, & bathroom visit. When you leave the Chevron stay to the right. Just follow the yellow lines. That road's name changes to Mammoth rd, then Minarets Rd. then Scenic Byway 81. All still the same road, no turning, no worries. After you get out of North Fork the road turns skinny. You'll start seeing the mile markers painted on the road in white. Just after mile marker 22 you'll reach Mile High Vista on the right. Turn off there for the extra bathroom visit, take pictures, visit the overlook (don't spend too long there because dinner is ALWAYS at 6:30pm). So now you have 26 miles to go. You'll be getting close when you see a sign for Hells Half Acre. Keep going. You'll pass another sign that says McCreary Trail Head, you're getting closer. You'll reach the end of the paved road. Turn left on Beasore Road.  Our pack station sign is about a quarter mile down on the right, driveway is on the left, it's 5S88.  You'll see another Minarets Pack Station Sign on the left. Turn in, come to the office, and we'll get you settled in before dinner. We look forward to meeting you!
