2023 Intro to Backcountry Mule Packing

Saturday, Sunday, Monday
Class Content and Schedule
- Arrive at Pack Station by 2:00 PM.
- Afternoon class begins at 3PM and lasts until 5Pm.
- Dinner at 6:30PM.
- Fireside chat from 7PM to 8:30 PM.
- Next morning, Breakfast at 7:00 AM.
- Class from 8-Noon. Lunch.
- Afternoon session begins at 1 PM and goes until 5:30.
- Dinner at 6:30.
- Fireside chat from, 7 to 8 :30PM.
- Final Day, Breakfast at 7 AM.
- Packing from 8 to Noon.

- SAFETY AROUND STOCK BOTH HORSES AND MULES
- PERSONALITY OF THE MULE
- SADDLING
- MAKING UP LOADS AND TYING A HITCH (BOX AND DIAMOND)
- MAKING UP A STRING AND LEADING
- TRAIL PRACTICE

COST PER STUDENT-$575.00
NOTE: The Packing Class will not be held as a private event. Anyone is welcome to sign up!
*Each person signing up for the class must be able to lift 50 to 75lbs.
*Each person must have riding skills.

WHAT TO BRING
WHAT TO BRING
Wearing the proper attire- No open toed shoes. Wear cowboy boots, jeans, long sleeved shirts. Shirts with snaps are most suitable. Hat is optional.
